Little tikes cape cottage playhouse: we have new neighbors!
The weather is awesome, the kids are out of school, and for the first time since we built our house – it’s completion was in November of last year – we’re outside playing and doing yard work. We’re still trying to level the ground and plant grass seed so sadly, the kids don’t have many outdoor toys yet.
So, it was time to build Ella her own house; check out our new neighbor! Complete with her own address, the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse is perfect!
We received the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse to facilitate our review. All opinions are our own.
The Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse is realistically fun in its details so that your little ones feel like they’re in their very own house.
The tan exterior with brick detail along with the bright red roof with shingled design makes the Cape Cottage Playhouse feel and look like a real cottage. It even features modern windows, an arched doorway and it can be used outdoors or indoors.
Yep. This looks like a mess, and I’m not exactly skilled at playtime carpentry. Or any carpentry. I was scared to even take it out of the box but for such a cute toy and one that, so far, has gotten a TON of use, it was really easy to put together. Like, really easy. It was out of the box and being played with in under half an hour. That was by myself with the help of a preschooler.
You’ve had ‘help’ from a preschooler before, right? Yeah. The “please help by not helping” moments, but she rocked it. Let’s just say, she was super motivated, as were we, to get moved in to her new home.
Features of the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse
The contemporary styling of the house makes it look like a real cottage and feel like a house to my daughter. It features two Working doors and two windows with working shutters. It even has cute features like a real mail slot and a flag holder – we just have to find cute little flags to fit them.
